Size Guide

Every sheepskin we sell is a natural product, so no two are exactly alike. That goes for size too. The numbers below are solid working measurements, but each skin is shaped by the animal it came from. Treat them as close guides, not exact cuts.

Every skin we sell is genuine New Zealand Merino sheepskin. Curly and longwool differ in the length of the fleece, not in the animal it came from.

Which size suits you

A single is the one most people start with. At about 35 in long it drapes nicely over a dining or office chair, softens the corner of a sofa, or sits at the end of a bed. It's an easy first sheepskin.

A double is longer and narrower, around 67 x 24 in. That shape suits a hallway bench or a runner along the back of a sofa. It also makes a soft spot beside the bed for your feet in the morning. If you like the look of a single skin but need more length, this is usually the answer.

The large quadruple rug is the big one, roughly 67 x 43 in. It's made for the floor. Put it in front of a fireplace or under a coffee table and it fills the space properly, and it holds its own as the centerpiece of a living room.

How to measure your space

Before you order, it helps to see the size in the actual spot. Lay a tape measure out where the skin will go. Or cut sheets of newspaper to the measurements in the table, put them down, and stand back for a look. It's a quick way to catch whether a single will look lost on a big floor, or a quadruple will swamp a small chair.

Single, double and quadruple

A single is one whole sheepskin. A double is two skins joined together, and a quadruple is four skins sewn into a rectangle. Because each skin is its own natural piece, you'll see gentle variation in shade and fleece from one part of a larger rug to the next. That's normal. It's also a sign the skins are genuine rather than printed or machine-made.
