Products

Are your sheepskins genuine?

Yes. Every Nordic Sheep is a real, full sheepskin sourced from New Zealand — never synthetic. The soft fleece sits on a sturdy, natural suede hide.

What is the difference between short wool and long wool?

Short-wool curly skins have a tidy, easy-care fleece that hides everyday wear. Long-wool Merino skins have a deeper, plush 5–7 cm pile for a more luxurious feel.

Is Ivory dyed?

No — Ivory is the natural, undyed color. Our other shades are dyed for warmth and character. Because dye reacts to UV, keep dyed skins out of harsh, direct sunlight to prevent fading.

Are they safe for sensitive skin?

Sheepskin is naturally breathable and gentle, which makes it a comfortable choice for most people.

Care

How do I clean a sheepskin?

Shake and air it regularly, and spot-clean small marks with a damp cloth and a little wool detergent. Let it dry naturally, away from direct heat. Our full Sheepskin Care guide has more.

What size should I choose?

Single skins run about 35 in (90 cm); doubles are roughly 170×60 cm; and our largest rugs reach 170×110 cm. See the Size Guide for measurements.
