Our Story
Nordic Sheep began with a simple belief: a genuine sheepskin is one of the most comforting things you can bring into a home.
We work with trusted New Zealand sources to bring you real, full sheepskins — never synthetic imitations. Each skin is chosen for its soft, dense fleece and its sturdy natural hide, the combination that lets a good sheepskin last for years of everyday use.
Genuine New Zealand sheepskin
New Zealand produces some of the finest sheepskin in the world, and it is where our Merino and curly short-wool skins come from. Merino fleece is exceptionally soft and naturally resilient: our long-wool skins carry a deep, plush 5–7 cm pile, while the short-wool curly skins stay tidy and easy to live with.
Tanned with care
Our dyed Merino sheepskins are naturally tanned and mulesing-free, meeting strict quality and ethical standards. Ivory is the natural, undyed color; the dyed tones are added for warmth and character — just keep them out of harsh, direct sunlight, as dyed colors can fade in UV light over time.
Made to be lived on
Lay one on the floor, drape it over a chair or sofa, or add it to a reading nook. However you use it, we want it to feel like the softest, most natural part of your home.
