Grey is the shade most people reach for when Ivory feels too pale and Chocolate too dark. We dye it in two fleece types, so a grey sheepskin rug here is either a short curly Grey or a longer, softer Light Grey.

The two greys

The curly Grey is a mid, slightly cool grey on a short, tightly curled fleece. It keeps its shape under weight, so it is the one to pick for a chair used daily or a floor people cross.

The longwool Light Grey is paler and softer, with a pile of about 2 to 3 in that moves and catches the light. It is the more dramatic of the two, and better suited to a spot that is looked at more than walked on.

Care and delivery

Grey is a dyed shade, so keep it out of harsh, direct sun, since UV fades dye over time. Day to day, shake it, air it, and brush the fleece to keep it open.
